Ticket Scam Resource Center - Sponsors
This site is NOT commercially sponsored, and has NO affiliation with any venue,
ticketing agency, team, or artist.
This site is supported by a single individual. My name is Gary. I do not work
in the ticketing industry. I'm an amateur musician, but you'll probably never
buy a ticket to one of my events! I have never been victimized.
This site is not affiliated with any non-profit agency. Donations are not tax
deductible. But if you still want to send me money, send an email using the
link on the
main page.
I subscribe to the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. My regular seats are in
the first row of the loges section. I saw Art Garfunkel, James Taylor, kd lang
and Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg from the loges, as well as other classical stars.
I saw Paul McCartney in Toronto in 2002 from row 16 on the floor. Bruce
Springsteen in Buffalo in 1999 from the upper deck, and from the lower level in
Rochester in 2003 and from the upper level in 2008, 2013, 2016. Elton John and Billy Joel
at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse in 2001 from the lower level, but that's a big
place and we were about a mile from the stage. Barry Manilow a couple times in
Rochester back in the 70s or 80s, from the upper deck, then in 2012 from the floor. Tony Bennett (a few
times), the Monkees, kd lang and Diana Krall from the lawn at the Finger Lakes
Performing Arts Center. "A Chorus Line" and "The Producers" (a couple months
after 9/11) on Broadway from balcony seats, and "Riverdance on Broadway" from
truly amazing seats in the dead center of the 8th row, probably my best ticket
purchase ever. Maynard Ferguson in a small club in 2002 and got an autograph.
Ani Difranco in a room about the size of your living room, back in the late
1990s; I bought a cassette tape from her and she autographed it. Bette Midler
in Rochester in 2004 from the tenth row, near the center, very nice. Aretha
Franklin in Vegas in 2005 about halfway back in a big arena. Joan Jett twice,
2006 and 2008, at the NYS Fair in the free concert area (sat for two hours in
2006 to get great seats). Ted Kennedy at a union hall in 2004 (free) and then Bill Clinton
in the same space in 2016. Aretha Franklin and a cool Dean Martin impersonator in Las Vegas
in 2005.
